Target Blu Eye 2 with LCD display
Awareness of what you can’t see, built into your car.
Blu Eye 2 is our fixed-installation system: the receiver and antenna are hidden out of sight, only a discreet display remains. It senses the emergency vehicles around you, including unmarked police cars running without lights or sirens, long before they come into view.

Always Aware: Detects police, ambulance and fire engines on the Airwave (TETRA) network, including unmarked cars with no lights or sirens, giving you critical seconds to respond calmly.
Invisible Installation: Receiver and VCD dipole antenna are fitted out of sight behind the bumper. Only the display stays visible, for a clean, factory-quality finish.
Trusted Since 2009: Patented Dutch engineering, on the road for over 15 years. A one-time investment, no subscription.
⚠ Professional installation required
Blu Eye 2 is not a plug-and-play device. It is a fixed, hard-wired system: the antenna is mounted behind the bumper, cables are routed through the car and the unit is connected to your vehicle’s power supply. This requires technical knowledge and the right tools.
We strongly recommend having it installed by one of our authorised Blu Eye dealers.
Want something you can use straight away? The Blu Eye GO is plug-and-play.
Installation: dealer fitting recommended
Blu Eye 2 must be professionally installed. It is not a device you simply plug in and mount on the windscreen.
Installation involves:
- Mounting the VCD dipole antenna behind the front or rear bumper
- Hiding the receiver out of sight and routing cables through the vehicle
- Connecting the system to your car’s power supply (with fuse)
- Integrating the display in the dashboard or rearview mirror
Without experience in vehicle electrics this is difficult, and incorrect fitting can affect detection performance. We therefore recommend having it installed by one of our authorised Blu Eye dealers.
Not sure if Blu Eye 2 is right for you? Contact us before ordering, or choose the plug-and-play Blu Eye GO.
Product details
The LCD version of Blu Eye 2 gives you a clear, compact display that can be neatly integrated into the dashboard or positioned discreetly wherever you prefer.
Like all Blu Eye systems, it continuously detects radio activity on the Airwave (TETRA) network. It alerts you to nearby emergency services, including police, ambulances, fire engines and unmarked police cars, even when they are driving at speed without lights or sirens.
The LCD screen shows clear on-screen information, making it the preferred choice for drivers who want direct visibility of system activity in their cockpit.

Legal Position
Target Blu Eye is fully legal in the UK and Europe.
Unlike radar detectors (which are illegal in many regions), our passive technology simply detects the presence of emergency service radio signals, without decoding content, identifying vehicles, or transmitting anything.
It is designed as an awareness tool to help you drive consciously, not as an enforcement avoidance device.

Is Blu Eye a radar detector?
Blu Eye is not a radar detector. A radar detector tries to warn drivers about enforcement equipment, while Blu Eye focuses entirely on driver awareness and safety.
Radar detectors attempt to detect speed-enforcement radar or laser. In the UK this offers limited value, because most enforcement now uses average-speed systems and ANPR, which traditional detectors cannot reliably identify.
Blu Eye works very differently. It passively recognises emergency service TETRA radio activity and provides a simple alert so you can look ahead, prepare and create space for approaching police vehicles (including marked and unmarked units), fire engines and ambulances.
It does not decode messages, jam signals or interact with enforcement equipment in any way, and it is legal to use in Europe.
