How Target Blu Eye Works
1. Emergency vehicles send signals
All emergency vehicles including marked and unmarked police cars, fire engines, and ambulances automatically send out short radio signals on the Airwave network, even when no sirens or flashing lights are used.
2. Blu Eye detects the signals
Using patented technology, Target Blu Eye passively recognises these signals from up to 1,000 metres away. The system analyses the pattern and shows you whether the vehicle is near or far.
3. You get alerted
Clear sound and on-screen warnings tell you when an emergency vehicle is approaching, giving you back those crucial seconds to react calmly and move aside safely.

How Blu Eye recognizes emergency services
In 2009, our engineers discovered a way to translate the ultra-short periodic signals emitted by the AIRWAVE emergency services communication system into immediate warnings in the car. That breakthrough led to the development of Target Blu Eye. The system detects (unmarked) police vehicles, fire engines, and ambulances in the vicinity of your car, even when they are not using flashing lights or sirens. This means you are always one step ahead. Blu Eye often recognizes conspicuous and inconspicuous vehicles before they come into view and warns you at exactly the right moment.
